Obtaining UAE Residency Visa – Except for UAE and GCC national citizens, other nationalities must obtain a UAE residence visa to legally Live / Work in Dubai and other emirates.

Types of Different Visas Available in the UAE
1. Investor Visa
Investors and entrepreneurs who start businesses in the UAE mainland get this visa. It lasts for up to three years and can be renewed.
Requirements for Investor Visa
- Invest a certain amount of money in a business in the UAE.
- For a 10-year visa: Establish a company in the UAE with a capital of AED 10 million.
- For a 5-year visa for entrepreneurs: Invest at least AED 500,000 in an existing project or an approved project by an accredited business incubator.
- Ensure the business is legal and licensed to operate in the UAE.
- Provide proof of investment, such as bank statements or financial documents.
- Have a valid passport.
- Pass a security background check.
- Undergo a medical examination if required.
2. Partner Visa
Business partners of a UAE national or a company in the UAE receive this visa type, which remains valid for up to three years and is eligible for renewal.
Requirements for Partner Visa
- Document showing the investment amount, like a bank statement or letter from the investor’s bank.
- Copy of the trade license or certificate of registration for the proposed company.
- Valid passport with at least six months validity.
- Certificate of good conduct or police clearance certificate from the investor’s home country.
- Medical fitness certificate from a UAE government-approved medical center.
- Appointment of a sponsor for the visa application, which can be the business partner or a UAE-based company.
3. Tourist/Visit Visa
A tourist visa allows visitors to enter the UAE for a short period of time for the purpose of tourism, leisure or visit.
Types of tourist visas in the UAE
- 30-day tourist visa: This visa is valid for 30 days from the date of entry into the UAE and can be extended for an additional 30 days.
- 90-day tourist visa: This visa is valid for 90 days from the date of entry into the UAE and cannot be extended.
Requirements for Visit Visa
- Valid passport with at least 6 months validity.
- Confirmed return flight ticket.
- Proof of accommodation.
- Travel insurance.
- Sufficient funds to cover the stay in the UAE.
4. Family Visa
A family visa is given to the family members of an employee or investor in the UAE. It lasts for up to three years and can be extended.
Requirements for Family Visa
- The applicant must be a family member of a UAE citizen or a UAE resident with a valid residency permit.
- Eligible family members usually include spouses, children, parents, and sometimes siblings.
- Provide proof of relationship, like birth or marriage certificates.
- Submit a copy of their sponsor’s residency permit.
- Have a valid passport.
- Pass a security background check.
